About

Greetings

Born a Gemini, I was always going to have a varied and eventful life. It seems there have been two persistent strands accompanying me: a belief in the spiritual and the practice of music / sound although I suspect they are virtually the same – pure energy.

My spiritual interests have ranged within Christianity (from Baptist to Church of England), Judaism through Qabalah, Buddhism (an MA from Sunderland University), the singing of Kirtan with the Sikh Raj Academy, and more. I am currently studying with Bishop Vernon of the Ecclesia Sophiana.

For many years, I have been an enthusiastic amateur musician and play a variety of instruments. I have a degree in Music and Education from Christ Church Canterbury University which has enabled me to pass on my musical skills on to young and old.

My researches into sound healing through the College of Sound Healing join these two strands. I am now a qualified sound healer and fulfill this practice through singing in my local church choir. Church music is about healing body and soul as well as about worship.

So much for the past, the future awaits …

I currently enjoy:

  • Studying with the Ecclesia Sophiana
  • Practising kirtan through the rágs composed by Professor Surinder Singh (Raj Academy)
  • Performing (on violin) with a traditional folk group, the Deal Hoodeners, in East Kent which raises money for local charities
  • Playing in many other musical activities such as playing Early Music up to about 1700
  • Leading and participating in U3A groups
  • Singing alto in Holy Trinity Church choir and leading the meditation group
